This introductory class includes an overview of the development process, local financing sources, Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), Bonds and the New Markets Tax Credits. The fundamentals of the program will cover implementation, eligibility requirements, selection criteria, sources of information and data. The class will provide instruction on “how to” structure an effective development team from beginning to end. This class will walk a student through the details of planning and implementing stages of a project.
